Event: Patricia Yost, Late to the Party in the Roaring 20’s
Location: Four Arts Dixon Education Building, 240 Cocoanut Row and online
Patricia Yost will present her book “Late to the Party in the Roaring ’20s and That Tropical Paradise Called Florida,” based on the memoirs of her late husband, Robert, whose father was a successful New York businessman who, in 1925, dove headlong into the peak of Florida’s raging land boom. Through period photographs, she will shine a spotlight on the beginnings of the boom, from the ambitious land speculation in Miami and on to Boca Raton and the Palm Beaches. Event: Curator Conversation | Growth and Change: The Norton Museum and Palm Beach County in the 1940s

The Norton Museum of Art recently celebrated its 80th anniversary. As part of its celebrations, the museum is hosting a virtual public conversation focusing on the 1940s, the Norton Museum and the Palm Beach County community the Museum served in that era when Ralph and Elizabeth Norton were integrally involved. The conversation will delve into the fascinating history of the area and its earliest cultural organizations. Moderated by Ellen Roberts, Harold and Anne Berkley Smith Curator of American Art, the discussion features Marie Penny, Director of Archives, Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach, and Rose Guerrero, Research Director at the Historical Society of Palm Beach County. Event: The Restoration of the 1916 Palm Beach County Courthouse

Historic Preservation Architect Rick Gonzalez, AIA, of REG Architects will tell the story of one of West Palm Beach’s preeminent architectural landmarks, the 1916 Palm Beach County courthouse. Event: Special Event: Jon Lovitz

Jon Lovitz has been one of the best known comedians for the last twenty years. Lovitz is most known for his stint on “Saturday Night Live”, as well as lending his voice to the cult cartoon series “The Critic.” Lovitz has also appeared on several major televisions shows and on Broadway. The Caribbean Chillers, a Jimmy Buffett tribute band, will make concert goers feel like they are in “Margaritaville.” Under the sway of palm trees at the Meyer Amphitheatre, Parrotheads will relax to sights and sounds that make this special event feel like a real Jimmy Buffett concert.
