Lionfish Extermination Corp. Lionfish Extermination Corp. is a non-profit 401(c) based out of Boynton Beach, Florida. They are working to help solve the problem of invasive lionfish. (South Florida Daily)

Nate is co-founder and diver of Lionfish Extermination Corp. A local non-profit 401(c) looking to help solve the problem of invasive lionfish in local waters.

Lionfish became invasive across South Florida when humans released about 7-10 of them in the area. They have no natural predators here and have quickly become rampant. These fish decimate our local reef fish.

Divers like Nate are working to eliminate these fish. They’re edible and sometimes Nate gifts the lionfish to local chefs like Mary at Two Georges Waterfront Grille.

Lionfish Extermination Corp. quickly became popular on TikTok when they started posting videos of their diving. They are close to almost 500k followers now.
