WEST PALM BEACH, Florida (SOUTH FLORIDA DAILY) -

Haley Walsh, owner of the Happy Princess Club and founder of Read Like Royalty, is turning story time into a magical experience. Read Like Royalty brings children’s favorite characters to schools, libraries, and community spaces with crafts, games, and interactive stories that make kids excited to read.

The Bunny Hive in Delray Beach, a cozy community space known for hosting creative and family-friendly events. It provided the perfect backdrop for Walsh’s mission of bringing books to life.

Walsh calls it Princess Power. By using the characters kids already adore, she inspires them to see books as adventures waiting to happen. She recalls a moment when Princess Belle encouraged a young girl who hated reading—by the end of the event, that same girl was happily reading aloud.

With reading scores dropping across South Florida, Walsh hopes to spark change by making literacy fun again. You can learn more at Read Like Royalty or book an event through the Happy Princess Club. Follow along on Instagram at @readlikeroyalty and @happyprincessclub.
