First Serve leaders share how mentorship transforms local lives ahead of December benefit events

First Serve is a nonprofit in The Palm Beaches that focuses on strengthening the lives of young people through education, life skills training, and peer mentoring.

South Florida Daily spoke with First Serve’s president Cynthia Kanai, and board member Kelsey Anderson, about the nonprofit’s work. For more than 30 years, First Serve has partnered with schools and community groups to train teen mentors who guide younger students and build their own leadership skills in the process.

The organization is hosting two benefit events on Sunday, December 14th at The Breakers in Palm Beach. The Tennis ProAm begins at 11:00 a.m., with lunch and awards featuring Kevin Anderson, the Bryan Brothers, and other pros. Tickets are $25,000 and include two entries to the evening cocktail party.

The Cocktails and The Bryan Brothers Band event starts at 5:30 PM. Tickets are $1,000 for two or $750 for one.
