April is Autism Acceptance Month, and we have a great way to show up and support the community!
The Roots & Ruts Off-Road 5K Run/Walk is a community-focused fundraiser supporting individuals and families affected by autism, while celebrating awareness, acceptance, and inclusion.
The race starts at The Els Center of Excellence and takes participants through North Jupiter Flatwoods Natural Area, the first certified autism-friendly trail in Florida, before looping back to the start.
Along with the 5K, there’s a sensory-friendly obstacle course for all ages and abilities, plus a Post-Race Expo featuring vendors, activities, awards, and food from Big Easy Cafe by Ernie Els.
Timing is tracked via race bibs, parking assistance will be available, and strollers and pets are not permitted on the trail. There’s also a virtual race option if you can’t make it in person!
