Communities across Palm Beach County will gather Monday, May 25, to honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to the United States during several Memorial Day ceremonies and tributes.
In Boca Raton, the city’s annual Memorial Day Ceremony will take place from 9 to 10 a.m. at Boca Raton Cemetery, located at 451 SW 4th Avenue. The event will feature a flag-folding ceremony, wreath presentation, guest speakers, patriotic music, and the playing of “Taps.” A plaque unveiling ceremony for Memorial Park will follow at 10:30 a.m. outside Boca Raton City Hall.
Palm Beach Gardens will host a Memorial Day Ceremony at 9 a.m. at the Veterans Plaza Amphitheater, 10500 N. Military Trail. The ceremony includes a wreath presentation and participation from the Palm Beach Gardens Police and Fire-Rescue Honor Guard.
In Wellington, the annual Memorial Day Parade begins at 8:15 a.m. from Village Hall on Forest Hill Boulevard and continues to the Veterans Memorial, where a ceremony honoring veterans will begin at 8:30 a.m.
Jupiter’s Memorial Day observance will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial inside the Jupiter Municipal Complex at 210 Military Trail.
All events are free and open to the public.
